You guys, I did a bad thing: I got some tomatoes drunk and I totally took advantage of them. Turns out tomatoes are kinda of lushes and love themselves some vodka. The vodka loves them, too. And this whole little love triangle worked out well for me, because I ate the tomatoes and then I drank the tomato vodka.
Do yourself a favor and make yourself some cocktail tomatoes while these guys are at their peak. This is one of those un-recipes. Put some cherry tomatoes in a jar, container, what-have-ya, and cover them with vodka. Maybe add some smoked salt, some Worcestershire and some hot pepper vinegar, as I did. Or you could add some basil and olive oil and garlic.
Let things marinate at room temperature for 24 hours. Strain out the tomatoes if you like and keep the vodka at room temperature. Or if you're
