The BLP | Bacon, Lettuce, + Peach Sandwich

There is a small problem in my house: my husband does not like tomatoes. Sure, he'll eat tomato sauce, but do not try to serve that man a tomato and mayonnaise sandwich; in fact don't even eat it in front of him.

Though he helped plant 16 tomato starters in our vegetable garden this year and has lovingly weeded them, pruned, and nurtured them. He still refuses to eat a ripe, perfectly seasoned, raw tomato. And I refuse to make dinner twice.

{Feeding Baby}: Firsts

Let's keep things real around here. Ella's first "real food" {as in non-formula} was not a puree of the lovely organic carrots you see above. Her very first was brown rice cereal, followed by oat cereal, and then very ripe bananas. So, you know, nothing worth snapping a picture of.

{Thirsty Thursday}: Fuzzy Peach

A peck of peaches is becoming my new summer tradition. Lured in by cute roadside farms or beauties at a berry farm, I enthusiastically pick the prettiest peck to bring home. A peck is between 12 and 20 pounds. I didn't know that last summer, but somehow that fact slipped my mind as I payed for and carried home another twenty this year.
